Meet the Team

Dave Liddell

Managing Broker and President, licensed through the British Columbia Financial Services Authority has been providing Strata Management services for the last 18 years.  He draws upon a wealth of valuable trade experience as a journeyman carpenter to both the residential and commercial sectors.  Having been a business owner for most of his career, he brings extensive knowledge of handling complex situations.  Dave is also well versed in the specific needs of strata councils and has a thorough understanding of the importance of delivering cost-effective day-to-day maintenance as well as strategies for long-term sustainability.

Karen Babych

Vice-President, licensed through the British Columbia Financial Services Authority, have been providing Strata Management services for the last 18 years.  Karen has a strong background in Accounting and Legal work, having owned and operated a bookkeeping business, accounting manager of a law firm, and the lead on several large projects for Vancouver Island Health Authority.  In addition to this, Karen has been involved in the construction industry with both a hands on and a management prospective for the last 36 years.

Arlin Daniel

Arlin, licensed Strata Property Manager, has been an integral part of our team over the last two years in his role as Maintenance Manager. Arlin has a background in teaching, obtaining his PhD in Philosophy in the area of Sustainable Development, and has instructed university students in various courses throughout the country. In addition to this, Arlin has a strong background in construction and farming. Outside of work, Arlin enjoys spending time with his family on his rural property.

Denise Cooper

Denise, our Office Manager / Strata Manager Assistant, has over 20 years of experience in efficiently managing office operations and providing Alliance with sound administrative expertise. Denise’s background in commercial property administration, and executive administration, thoroughness and friendly demeanor make her a valuable team member. Outside of work, Denise enjoys participating in local community art and cultural events.

Irene Holland

Irene, our Strata Manager Administrative Assistant, has an extensive background in Real Estate and conveyancing, competently managing the documentation requirements of Alliance, working closely with our Strata Managers and responding to owner concerns. Irene has a strong work ethic, assisting our clientele with day-to-day issues that may arise. Outside of work, Irene spends her time enjoying her grandchildren and the beautiful outdoors of Vancouver Island.

Leslie Oliver

Leslie, our Assistant Accounting Controller has been a business owner for the last 27 years, having owned and operated a travel agency and a commercial office building. Leslie’s detailed nature lends itself well to producing accurate results for all our clients accounting requirements. This combined with her extensive experience in managing and maintaining office systems, makes her an integral part of our team. Outside of work, Leslie enjoys gardening and taking long walks along our beautiful coast.

Paul Dodds

Paul, our Maintenance Manager, is currently working towards his license as a Strata Property Manager. Paul brings with him extensive transferable skills, having received his Bachelor of Science degree and a diploma in Advanced Management, his career focus has been in the hospitality industry where his roles have primarily been general manager of medium-large hotel/resort accommodations, leading all aspects in both finance and maintenance. Outside of work, Paul enjoys spending time with his family and working on his housing projects.

Brian Phillip-Stewart
Brian, our Accounting Controller, brings extensive experience in financial management and business operations, specializing in financial reporting and cash flow management. A detail-oriented professional, Brian has led major accounting system migrations, developed comprehensive financial reports and streamlined complex financial data for improved decision-making. His proactive and analytical approach supports the needs of your strata communities. Outside of work, Brian enjoys playing piano, chess, and cold morning dips in the ocean.
Lucas Yoneliunas

Lucas, Strata Property Manager, brings a diverse range of experience to the team, with a background spanning oilfield operations, construction, software development, and management. His well-rounded skill set allows him to approach strata management with a strong problem-solving mindset and technical expertise. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Lucas has a passion for hands-on projects and innovation. Outside of work, he enjoys 3D printing, electronics, woodworking, hiking, and snowboarding.
